Our Finance team are looking to hire a Head of Technical Implementation. This role will support the Finance team from a technical perspective on group, statutory and regulatory reporting.
The successful candidate will lead the efforts on moving IFRS 17 reporting into business as usual, offering technical assistance where required and working with various teams to ensure critical issues encountered are resolved on a timely basis.
The candidate will need to identify and achieve IFRS 17 process efficiencies, help ensure the technical accounting engine built within the new Workday system. Additionally the candidate will need to deliver a significant reduction in the quarterly technical close process and help manage the cut over to the new BAU Workday reporting process from the existing manual processes.

Knowledge and Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Insurance Industry experience
- Detailed IFRS 17 knowledge
Skills and Demonstrated Experience
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience or demonstrable knowledge of the insurance industry and understanding of the impacts different products pose to Finance
- High degree of organisation, task planning and time management
- Experience of communicating to and influencing a range of stakeholders
- Can-do attitude to work coupled with resilience and calm exterior
- Strong Insurance Technical knowledge with practical application to systems and processes
- Apply sound critical thinking to problems and offer effective workable solutions
- Workday implementation experience desirable
